This is quite a new hotel in San José, and my experience in it, although short was very rich and satisfying in general.
If I have to think about one word that expresses this hotel it would be joy! It has great space and a lot of color and this mixture gives you immediately a joyful feeling. It is energetic and young… Or at least I felt so!
It is located in the outskirts of San José, about twelve or fifteen blocks of the heart of the city.
The rooms are big enough and if you are lucky enough as to be in the top floors you have a great view of the city and the mountains and volcanoes behind it, which is probably one the most beautiful things about San José… its surrounding green blue mountain range!
The room area is pretty big, with a desk and chair, dresser and two queen beds with comforter, good quality linens and lots of pillows (I do know there are king sized bed rooms) bathroom had a vast walk in shower (no tub), big shower head and good pressure and hot water.
The restaurant is not the highest point, however it can give you a pretty decent dinner if needed and the breakfasts are great. But you are so close to the city and La Sabana that you can always go and enjoy a great meal downtown.
The staff is very helpful and willing to get out of the way for you to be happy and comfortable.
As in any hotel in the surroundings of San José I would not go out after dark since the neighborhood can be a bit rough. My recco at night is: Get a taxi… ($5 to downtown San José) The reception staff will get it for you! In the day time is really not a problem… and downtown San Jose is really walking distance.
It is a good choice to stay in in business, but not inconvenient for a family stay or a vacation start.
