Costa Rica has beautiful beaches and volcanos, normally this is the reason to visit it, but there are also awesome forests and activities to do all through the land. You can also try the city of San José downtown, this place blossoms with places to discover, such as museums, parks, restaurants, and nightlife. 2. Learn some basic Spanish

3. Relax
The ultimate goal of a vacation is to relax, this can be done by having some thrilling challenges, experience new things or simply get into some warm and beautiful hot springs in a tropical paradise. Is just a matter of perspective of what you can do and how you can enjoy it.
So, when you get to Costa Rica, well, enjoy it! Do anything you like, eat whatever you would like to taste and have a good time, there are lots of places where to do it, and even more where to learn from.
4. Keep your senses open
At first, they are indistinctive sounds and shapes, but, little by little and literally in a matter of days you will learn to recognize the sounds of a poison dart frog and a cricket, a marine toad and a howler monkey, and you will learn when to look up in search of a sounding toucan. You will as well learn the movements of a troupe of monkeys up on a tree, or the quiet shape of a sloth hiding in the leaves. Just keep your senses open.

5. Talk to the people
Never mind how little Spanish you speak, you will always find people who speak English, the hotel receptionist, the clerk at the store… Ask them about their families, their holidays, their celebrations, sometimes in these causal contact you learn more of a country than in a thousand guidebooks.

There are some really weird, and some, may even look disgusting (Passion Fruit for instance), they taste great! Try them! And carry some kleenex with you for the mess!

The Art City Tour is a night (Happens every two months) when all museums in the city are open for free, but not only that! There is also free transportation between them… There are concerts, exhibitions, tale telling… It’s great! Try it!

9. When walking on in the rainforest, be silent and don’t touch anything!
This is the best way to see wildlife, hear it and then see it! And don’t touch anything! There are toxic plants that look unharmful but that can leave you a rash easily. Not to talk about bullet ants or vipers!
10. Use repellent at all times, everywhere in Costa Rica
Never mind where you are… there are mosquitoes. And even though we’ve had very few cases of zika, dengue or malaria… You might always find the lucky mosquito that carries any of these.
