Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

You first few days in Costa Rica is in San José at the Grano de Oro, a 35 room hotel, a true oasis in the heart of the capital city, San José. The hotel exudes the charm and character of a stately mansion with the comforts and amenities of a fine hotel. It has a secluded terrace garden with large jacuzzis and courtyards filled with fountains and tropical flowers. Delicious meals and desserts are served in the dining room, adjacent sunroom and tropical patio.

This hotel is a great location for exploring the cultural diversity of Costa Rica! Located close to shops, museums, and restaurants, you'll have time to explore the friendly environment of Costa Rica's capital city.

Day 2-4

Then journey to the Caribbean to Mawamba Lodge, a 15-acre beachfront lodge, right on Tortuguero National Park, a navigatable network of water canals that crisscross the entire region. Tortuguero National Park is an area known worldwide for it's richness in biodiversity. This lodge is a haven for nature lovers and adventurous people.

One of the great reasons to stay here is, of course, Tortuguero National Park, which is a navigable network of lake and canals that cross the National Park from Southeast to Northwest and accessible only by land, boat or air. The are no roads to get here!

All stays include 3 meals a day, transportation to and from San José, and regular tours into the park. Paddle or boat into the heart of Costa Rica!

Day 5

Stop off at San José for a quick rest and some shopping! You will again stay at the Grano de Oro.

Day 6-9

The second leg takes to south on the Pacific to the exotic and remote Matapalo on the Osa Peninsula. You will stay 4 days and nights at the Bosque del Cabo, a private resort located on a cliff top over the Pacific Ocean and Golfo Dulce.

Spacious bungalows surrounded by a lush tropical jungle with magnificent views are what you will find. Private outdoor garden showers, king size bed and wonderful amenities will make your stay comfortable. There is also a restaurant, bar, pool, and 600 acre private reserve for you to explore. Surfing, kayaking, fishing and sailing tours are all available, right from your hotel.

This leg will include all meals at the Bosque del Cabo.

Day 10

Finally it's back to civilization. Two coasts, two very different jungles. We hope you have enjoyed your jungle adventure!
