Day 1

• Meet at Juan Santamaría International airport by a 2costarica adventure guide
• Transfer to the hotel Taylor's Inn

Day 2

• Lunch on the tour
• Irazu Volcano and Orosi Valley: The Irazú Volcano, is an active volcano, situated in the Cordillera Central close to the city of Cartago. The park that includes this volcano covers 5703 acres, its highest point being 3432 meters (approxim. 10,300 feet) above sea level and on a clear day is claimed to be possible to see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans on a clear day; however, such clear days are very rare indeed, and it is typical for the volcano's summit to be covered in cloud for much of the time.

Day 3

• La Paz Waterfalls: This morning we’ll visit La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The full tour is 3 kilometers long. Each of the waterfalls are beautiful natural works of art. Pathways take you to several viewing platforms where seating and umbrellas have been provided for your ultimate viewing pleasure.
• Butterfly Gardens: we visit the Butterfly observatory that is the largest in the world. The enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid the natural habitat. An on-site laboratory is a breeding ground for the countless fluttering species.

Day 4

• Breakfast and Lunch in the Hotel
• Transfer to Cloud Forest Lodge: We begin the day with a Trail Walk in the Monteverde Reserve, where we will view the diverse selection of flora and fauna as the reserve is home to six different vegetation communities, over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 2,500 species of plants (among them 500 different kinds of orchids). This afternoon we will enjoy the Butterfly farm where we’ll learn how these beautiful species grow and live.

Day 5

• Breakfast and Lunch at the Hotel
• Monteverde reserve and Butterfly Farm: We begin the day with a Trail Walk in the Monteverde Reserve, where we will view the diverse selection of flora and fauna as the reserve is home to six different vegetation communities, over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 2,500 species of plants (among them 500 different kinds of orchids). • Transfer back to San Jose via Sarchi: Today we will admire the handcraft of Sarchi town. Located approximately 1 hour from San Jose, the picturesque village of Sarchí is the cradle of wood crafting and decorating in Costa Rica, particularly known for its production of colorful ox-carts. The custom of painting decorations on the carts was began in Sarchí around the turn of the century. In any one of the numerous gift shops visitors will find not only the traditional oxcarts and oxcart wheels in wide variety of designs and sizes, but also an astounding array of bowls, boxes, toys, statues and jewelry, as well as items in cloth, glass, bronze and other materials.
