Pavones

Pavones is one of Costa Rica's most famous surf breaks This area is extremely remote and if you can catch the surf on a good day, the logistical nightmares surrounding your arrival will be well worth it.

Drake Bay

Wilderness surrounding Drake Bay is extensive, complete with a variety of birds (including Scarlet Macaws.) Snorkeling, jungle exploration and canoe rides await you. There is an airstrip now open that takes flights directly from San José. It is an eco-lover's paradise. Very limited resorts and nightlife.
