Welcome to the Hotel Cristal Ballena, your dream destination in the south of Costa Rica! The hotel—with bar, restaurant, 19 fully equipped and spacious suites, 4 Adventure Lodges and a huge 400 square meter (4300 square foot) pool—is situated in a 12 hectare (30-acre) garden area on a hill between the Pacific Ocean and a rainforest-covered mountain.

Each room has breathtaking ocean views, and the area offers a wide range of outdoor activities.

The Suites: The Cristal Ballena offers 14 spacious, connectable junior suites, 3 master suites and 2 family suites, all with balcony and outrageous ocean views. Our stylish, spacious suites are equipped with four-poster beds, air conditioning plus ceiling fan, satellite television, WLAN, telephone, refrigerator, safe, coffee maker and private bathrooms with hairdryer.

The Adventure Lodges: Our 4 charming Adventure Lodges are situated in our colorful garden, surrounded by exuberant tropical forest. Each lodge is complete with terrace, separate tiled bathroom, king size bed, electricity and ceiling fan.

And, very close by is the Ballena National Marine Park. This parks was the first marine park in Latin America and is the only one in Costa Rica. The park is a system of reefs and islands called Las Tres Hermanas that protect the coastline which is made of several unique geological formations and creates some of the best diving and snorkeling in Costa Rica.
